I think Kaase and BES both had used those same motors they did well with this year in previous competitions... although updated somewhat. I'm sure some people that were actually there will chime in with more accurate input.

Does anyone have a guess as to what types of engines these rules would possibly favor?? (or not favor)
I get the feeling that the LS, and the Mod engines would maybe shine here more so, and the 460's not so much??
Thats just what i think off hand, anyone else venture a guess?

A big block Ford wouldn't have a prayer of winning this competition next year unless someone got creative and used a high flow Throttle Body fuel injection system with a cast SINGLE plane intake manifold.
A single 4 barrel, DUAL-PLANE intake manifold is all that is allowed when a carburetor is used and then the throttle bores of the carburetor are limited to 1.690".
These newest rules are definately slanted toward Fuel Injected engines; or a small block.

Is freshening a proven combo a bad thing? Or are the brand X boys crying?
A dual plane and a small carb are kinda limiting????

Wouldn't it be a shame if Kaase built one of them LS motors and STILL beat the chebby fags at their own game?? HA, I would pay to see that!!
