Hurricane Irma, Be safe.
If you live in Florida hang onto your socks and be safe, Florida is fixing to get ripped.
Re: Hurricane Irma, Be safe.
Also looks like Georgia going to get some of it also.
We may be having some flooding and bad winds.
Everybody be safe and hold on.

Re: Hurricane Irma, Be safe.
Waiting here in N. central FL(Summerfield to be exact) for Irma to finally get here and be gone, been looking/studying and listening to countless "weather jockeys" be proven wrong so many times pertaining to it's "actual" path. The "experts" say I will be looking at 75 plus sustained winds and gusts to 95, we will see. Have relatives in Cape Coral, praying they fare well since they could potentially see a 15ft storm surge. Wind damage is my biggest concern for my area, then how long I will be without power, was out 1 week each when the 3 hurricanes of '04 crossed our area within 30 days. To others here in the path of this monster and/or effected by this storm, stay safe during and when the clean up begins. Todd

They saying we could see wind gust up to 75 if it doesn't weaken with winds in the 50s. Here in Georgia where I live we are not set for wind gust that high with winds in the 50 range. Local power company said with winds in that range they will loose a bunch of power poles. I got to work and secure the plant and notify the general manager if we have any major damage.

Downgraded to a Tropical Storm, Irma has visited GA. at about 2 PM. The Center is over a small town called Quitman, about 18 miles west of Valdosta. The next stop looks like Albany. Winds are down to 60mph with gusts up to 75.
Re: Hurricane Irma, Be safe.
I'm North of Valdosta about 55 miles we got hit around 9am with the high winds uprooted trees around here and broke a bunch of limbs out. l have power at my house and no real damage just limbs all over the place. But Fitzgerald only had about 1/4 of its power. We lost power at work around 10am and was still out at 2:45 when I left.
