Personal best for my Fairmont @ U.S. 60 Bracket Finals
My little 512 with the A429 heads was getting after it at the bracket finals a couple of weeks ago. I think the carb. needs a little more jet as the mph was a little off. We had a full weekend of racing Friday, Saturday and Sunday was rained out so we finished up on Monday. For those of you that haven't had a chance to run this race, you're missing a great weekend.

512 c.i.
11.5.1 c.r.
A429 heads worked by Lawes Mayfield
Trick Flow Mafia intake
Quick Fuel 1090
I think the cam is a 714 solid roller.I would have to dig out the cam card
Powerglide with 5600 convertor
4.22 rear gear
29.5 PBR rear tires
Tuned by Jet Boat Bob and Super Dave
Car weighs around 2850 with me in it.
Nothing over the top but i am very pleased with the combo. Thanks

You could even run a couple points higher compression ratio with using that fuel ... so, there's certainly more left in that combo.
Re: Personal best for my Fairmont @ U.S. 60 Bracket Finals
Yep, 13.5 with 113 aint no thang.
That Keener guy you beat is one of my mechanics.

I agree with more compression.I was wondering if maybe a little more carb would help or just more jet.The 1090 that is on it Bob said they jumped up two jet sizes from what came in it.Seems like more is never enough but still happy with what i have.

Keener was in a dragster. The vp 113 around here normally sells for $485.00 a drum.

Not bad your door car is not even a second slower then a dragster, fuel would be about $9.70 a gallon it looks like?Have you ever ran you car in the 1/4 mile if so looks like it would run in the 8.75 to 8.80 range?Just curious what type of engine is in Keener's dragster?

Nice Work & Looking Good!
Nice work all weekend! That thing was hauling the mail the whole time, and you were making em pay. I absolutely LOVE watching a small tire car outrun and take the W on the big tire cars lol. I was mostly in peoples way that whole weekend lol...couldn't get the car to repeat to save it's life. Had a great time though, and looking forward to it again next year!

The US 60 Ford race was the first time out since last October. Turned out to be a good weekend. I got down to 5 cars on Friday night and broke out. Then Saturday got the win in Bracket 1 Super Pro. The win was a break single but I will take it any way I can get it as I have been on the other end of that before. Congrats to the winners and runner ups. Hope to see all you guys and gals next year. Plus a big thanks to all the sponsors for this race.
