Yeah, it is pretty bad... It belongs to John Lewton, a local racer from Whitehall, Montana... About 50-60 miles from me... I believe it has a 600" BBF under the hood... IIRC anyway... He's got a few other "nice" ones to go along with that one... He had some tranny issues in Vegas this time around...
Doug...

I talked to him and he said his FAST car was at home. The first pic has Steve Petty from proline in front of it.

Giuseppe Gentile Twin Turbo Ford Hemi
I am one of the crew member for Giuseppe and thought you guys might like to view his web site. Dal Shanga helped out setting up the web site and did a great job. Dal should have his Mustang at the 2010 SCSN's. It will be nice to see the two mustangs kickin butt next year. New to the web site. BBF ...... nothing better!

We are heading to Vegas on the 29th, 30th and 31st. If the track tempratures are reasonable, we should break some records. Ready for the 2010 season. Look for updates on the web site. The team is a true BLUE group of racers!!!! GO BBF!!

Re: a few pics at scsn in vegas
We built most of the car at his Uncle's house in North Hollywood Ca. We used his two car garage and bought a few tools (Bead Roller, Finger Brake, Tubing notcher and a bunch of Harbor Freight tools). It was 105 degrees in the middle of the build and at or over 100 degrees for several weeks. We had help from Josh Deeds (Deeds Performance) and a technician (Johnathan) that welds from his shop. They did some great work on the headers, intercooler and chassis!
We ran in Vegas last weekend and on our last qualifing pass a big fire ignited under the frontend. The wiring, boost controllers, ride height sensor, spark plug wires, and coil all were burned and the front end was tore off the car. The intake manifold tore open at the end of the pass and fuel hit the exhaust. We managed to run a 6.26 pass and would have been #1 qualifier. We thought the damage was too significant and trailered the car back to the pits without scaling the car. After sitting around for a few hours we decided to repair the car, though we had doubts we could do it. At 2am the following morning and with help from MANY PSCA racers, we were up and running! What a thrash!! First round we ran one of the guys (Jay Syvertson) that helped us out. We ended up winning that round. Felt bad for Jay in the lane next to us since he helped us get the car fixed. The next round we had Jim Knight; Jim hit the wall, thank God he was all right, and we moved on to the next round. Round three we were up against John Scialpi. John shook the tires and we advanced to the Finals. When we ran John, our boost controller did not work and we ran a 7.051. Luck was on our side. In the Finals, we were matched against Clint Hariston. Clint had been consistant all weekend and they were on a roll. We had so many issues all weekend there was little time to address our tuneup and we knew Clint was on his game. Giuseppe cut a red light for the first time in the 4 years I have been on the team. Made no differance, Clint ran 6.304/233.52 and G. Gentile 6.434/223.06.
Many great teams helped us out last weekend. Bothwell Motorsports was a huge help with parts and expertise. Job Spetter provided exceptional tuning for the car. Jay Syverston and his team helped throughout the weekend. Ron Weems was also helpful as well as the rest of the Pro Street competitors. Needless to say, I think our team did an exceptional job in the frigid nightime temps!
We will be back next month (Fontana).
