Chrome valve covers
Who makes a chrome valve cover with "powererd by Ford" just like the stockers but chrome. Mine are powder coated but I want a pair of chrome ones for now. Not the aluminum as I have a pair of them. I also have a riser so they will clear my jomar stud girdle. I googled this but so far no luck lots of clear chrome steel for from 20.00 up no luck so far.

Re: Chrome valve covers
I do not remember seeing any, the factory dress up market tends to be more on the 429CJ aluminum ribbed style, you might have to strip em and dip em.

Re: Chrome valve covers
A guy at a local car show had a pretty stout BBF and he cut and 'extended' the stock Power By Ford valve covers and had them chromed.
You may need to do something like that.

Re: Chrome valve covers
There's always valve cover spacers - that way you can use "stock" height covers.

I’m currently having a set of Mercury FE covers done.... it isn’t cheap $450 plus shipping and that the best price I found other places wanted $600-$800

Re: Chrome valve covers
I have a used pair of chrome "power by Ford" covers. I would only trade for a set of aluminum CJ/SCJ covers. Nothing else or $$$s, just a trade. I too like the look and rarity.

Re: Chrome valve covers
It's just "Power" by Ford, not "Powered".
I have plain blue ones with spacers. I personally like the blue over chrome anyway.

Re: Chrome valve covers
How big of a spacer are you guys running to clear a stud girdle with stock valve covers? I found 3/8, 1/2 and 1”. Not cheap either but pretty cool

Check with DSC Motorsport. He has a lot of vintage and NOS parts like that.
