Bruno's 87 Mustang build

Well it feels good to get back in the shop. Ive been looking at doing something older and just didnt have that warm fuzzy feeling. I picked this hatch up for free. Yes free. So im going to strip her and build this one from the ground up. Stephen wanted a project too so he will be helping also. All the suspension points look great , rust free, but there are some rust holes on the floor board areas that will be addressed when we get the chassis going. This project timeline should be about 2 years to finish. Hopefully sooner but not in a rush. Will post pics as we get started.

No yet , Im worried about this frame, all the suspension points look solid , I am trying to get a hold of someone that has frame measurements i can gt to make sure this unibody isnt twisted before we get deep in this process. The rear hatch hangs over the taillights by almost a 1/4' , there is some rust on the rear hatch itself and it is loose. looks to be some light bondo on the right rear fender also. If it all measures fine we will have her stripped this weekend. Jennifer says she wants to help too ....

don't worry about it! The price is right and ain't nothing we can't fix! Get the thing gutted and see what you have for starters. You know where I'm at if you need anything pulled on.

this is the only damage on the car on the pass rear

everything looks pretty good, pass rear looks like it got hit pretty good, will need to do some body repair on that section. Floor pans have rust by the rockers so that will be addressed when i put in the thru floor sub frame connectors. Jennifer and I got the entire car strip out today. Tomorrow i will wash her down and finish cleaning things up and put together a parts list.

Was it a flood vehicle or sit outside with the windows down or windows out of it?

i dont know about x275 , but definitely want to start were i left off with the grey coupe.

all the windows were intact, the hatch didn't fit quite right , but it did have briers growing thru the rubber seals , so it diffidently was sitting out side for awhile.
