Builder near Daytona Beach

Any suggestions on a machine shop relatively close who knows how to get the most out of a 429/460 on a working guy's budget?

I have a standard bore 429/460 block, a set of D3 heads that have been ported w/ stainless steel cj valves and roller rockers, a stock 429 crank and an unknown brand stroker crank, a weiand high rise intake and dreams. Open to suggestions. Thanks!

Read through the "Proven Builds" section and it should give you some ideas.

Is your stroker crank 4.14/4.15 ?

For general machining I would use the shop @ Charles st. & George Ingram; I believe it's Daytona Auto Machine. If you need something more race oriented try Express in Deland or Powered by Ford in Orlando.

If you don't mind a bit of a drive, Powerhouse Machine in Ocala, Fl will do you right. Dave the owner is a straight shooter and excellent machinist.

He has done three blocks for me and balancing on 2 rotating assemblies and they were done right. He does a lot of BBF stuff for the truck and airboat guys around central florida, so he knows the 460.
