Big Tires/Wheels for trade or Sale

Pretty new tires on the back of a 64 Galaxie. I am looking to move down to a 29 x 12:50 -15 to bring the car closer to stock appearance, without the cut up quarter panels. Tires are basically new, on Weld Wheels Draglite. If you happen to have the right tire on the Prostar, that would be a big bonus!

Random question but have you’re rear quarter panel wheel openings been modified?

yes, they were cut pretty good. Tall and both ends. Here is the original silhouette

There was a three man, beer inspired fender flairing party too, where they just pulled out the quarters to make more room for the tires, because the wheel offset wasn't correct. They really had done a hack job on the tubs, too. The springs are inboard on the frame, and that looks 'okay', but there has been so much frame damage to the car, I am considering just replacing the frame. I may put a stock read end in it at that time, mount springs in the standard position and convert back from the big tire look, but I am kinda liking hour unusual it looks now.

Un-fu**ing up someone else's work is one of my favorite things to do

The body is basically stock (for now), most everything else has been rebuilt, changed, modified or improved upon.

Sorry for derailing your thread, I just had to ask about those quarters. I've always wondered what just raising the wheel well opening an inch or 2 would look like and now I have my answer so thanks for that.

No worries. These 64's are the awesomest, and I can talk about them all day!
