Converter company
Can you guys recommend a converter company? Dropped my Edge 9" converter off at Coan to get it set up correctly for my new engine build (since they are close) and was just told there is basically nothing usable as parts are worn and stuff wasn't brazed and I'd be better off to get a new one at 1195.
So I am in a delima at this point as to who to contact to get quotes.
Thanks
Alan

Lenny at Ultimate converter - you won't be disappointed. Pricewise, the number you got wasn't bad.

Re: Converter company
Mine is a UCC and he was almost dead on the stall i wanted.
Told him how much torque it made and the rpm plus vehicle specs and i couldn't be happier with it.
He was awesome to deal with, answered all my dumb questions. I will probably always use them in the future

Lenny @ Ultimate is who I've used for years,.....BUT,....recently,...I needed to either have mine re-stalled or different Converter all together,...due to me spraying a 200 shot of N2O,.....so I went with Andre @ Edge.
Reason being,..... 300 for re-stall,...on what I have,......OR,.......700 for a new one from Edge.

Re: Converter company
I talked with Andre @ Edge last night and ordered a new one set up for my new combination. They offer a 2 year renewable warranty on the Pro series which is a nice feature. He also said I could sent the other back to get straightened out and the numbers he quoted were significantly less then Coan quoted. So I can either fix the second one and sell it or just fix it and keep it for a spare.

Re: Converter company
Another +1 for Edge converters. Now, there is no more guessing the stall speed that one may need for his combo. Andre has a program ( I'm sure others do also ), that inputs all the info for the vehicle, and it gives a very accurate recommendation on size, stall speed, flash stall, etc.
I was quite amazed at how well the new converter worked and acted.
