babbiting

Looking for information on who can bore and babbitt a 28 chevy engine. Many shops will babbitt but not bore or vice versa.

I would look in Hemmings Motor news. Shops used to advertise they could do it.

In 1928 was that engine built without main bearings?

My stepdad had a 1928 Chevy for a few years that was original when he bought it. We had that thing up to 40+ mph one day, I wasn’t sure we’d survive

yes, i think that is his plan and to assembly the short block.
