Need a new cam! Empty Need a new cam!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just broke a roller lifter in my 545 and thought I might take the opportunity to change cam, any thoughts on what to use?

Currently it's a Comp Cams XR292R, anyone had a cam ground specifically for a stroker or know of one more suited to a 545.

Specs are:
Stock block
Scat 9000 series 4.5in stroke crank
Eagle 6.8in H-beam rods
Probe dished forged pistons
Blue Thunder B heads (flow figures below)
Edelbrock Victor 4150 manifold
Barry Grant 1050 (3593020DR)
MSD 6530 Digital box, crank trigger & dissy
Running a C6 and 3:89 Locker 9in 28 in tall tyres

you are going to have to give alot more information than that for someone to help you pick a cam... they need car weight, engine size, intended use, converter stall, gear size, trans, intended use of the car, give one of the guy's here a call. Lem Evans, Randy Malik, Bret Powell, Scotty Johnston, Dave McLain, there are several more on here also just can't think of all of them.... No offense guy's...... any of them can and will help you......

Good luck

Valve lift on that cam is too small for those cylinder heads but won't be long the experts will chime in and give you a better idea.

Good Luck & Nice Car
