Dominator Flange Victor vs Victor 4150 Flange with 1/2" Dominator Flange adapter Questions
Any of you guys actually have any Dyno results?FWIW i have both of these Intakes with the Victor 4150 on my car now with the 1/2" adapter and a Quick Fuel QFX-4700 and it runs very strong stronger than my old 1,000 cfm Holley HP IMO!!Engine specs are 466 SRP Flat Top Pistons,Eagle H-Beam Rods,Old Herbert Solid Roller Cam .670-.690 lift 256-266 duration at .050 and the Old Ford Motorsport Aluminum Cobra Jet Heads 2.20 and 1.76 Valves and 2" Diameter Headers!!I guess my main question would be is it worth changing to the Dominator Flange Intake or leave it alone FWIW i don't have much hood clearance as this engine is in a Fox Body Mustang,Thanks

If you have both, why not spend a day doing some back to back testing? It would be fun and informative too. Or maybe on a chassis dyno!!

The manifolds are exactly the same below the 4150 flange; which is only about 1/4" which gets machined when it has a 4500 flange.
Feel under that 4150 flange and you can actually feel the cutouts for the 4500 bores.

Thanks Randy i'll have to check that out next time i have the carb off or when i change manifolds!!I guess i would just leave the Victor 4150 Manifold on it but with the Victor Dominator flange Manifold i won't have to use the 1/2" Adapter!!

You will need to change the bolt pattern though.

So is it possible to mill a 4150 Victor to accept a Dominator?

What do you do about the bolt mismatch? Weld, expoxy?dfree383 wrote:nedceifus wrote:So is it possible to mill a 4150 Victor to accept a Dominator?

Yep, the casting is the same
Weld the holes OR, bottom-out aluminum bolts or threaded rod in the holes with a good sealer, like green Loctite..
After the sealer hardens, Re-drill and tap the correct bolt pattern.

I did this to a G429 Ford Motorsports intake you can get the aluminum threaded rod at Fastenal I used a 4500 spacer plate to get the location for the 4500 bolt pattern
