Cam recommendations
Reassembling a 472 in a fairmont wagon has a c6 3500 stall with a broader performance trans brake and 4.10 gears. It sees very little street use.
Old combo was 10:1 with d3 heads. It currently has a motorsport c460 hydraulic camshaft.
I switched to a set of tfs 290 heads and tfs track heat intake manifold. My compression is around 11.9:1 now.
Would the c460 cam still be sufficient or does anyone have any recommendations on a better camshaft?
Thanks

Re: Cam recommendations
If you want to step it up some I would usually suggest a Comp Cams 294B-8 SFT if you could get one now.
You could check around with the custom grinders here also.
I would keep the lifters with the lobes on that C-460 cam when you take it out if it's still good.

That is a really good camshaft for what you have but, there are some better; maybe use some 1.8/1 rocker arms with your cam.
I would look at using a solid lifter & camshaft. The Lunati 61643 grind; part number 30340743.
Getting a cam from anybody these days is a chore.

Re: Cam recommendations
That Lunati is very nice. It's about extinct now, unfortunately, as for as current availability, as or others now.
The only Comp Cams 294B-8 seems to be in Australia. The .050" on it is 256/266.

You could try these guys for the Lunati, you may luck out.

^Same with Lifters.
