blue thunder thor heads
has anyone done anything on these heads to help the combustion chambers on these heads ? Wet flow testing maybe? It seems like they are prone to detonation with nitrous.
Re: blue thunder thor heads
Might get with Craig Sullivan, SQ34 is his screen name. I believe he's running the Thors, not sure if he uses nitrous though.

Re: blue thunder thor heads
You might want to get back with your cylinder head guy, and touch base with him. However, with nitrous and the Thor heads, the more you lay the combustion chamber back with a convex shape, (verses the straight wall combustion chamber shape that those heads come with), the more resistant they are towards detonation.
Hope this helps,

Re: blue thunder thor heads
Detination has not been a problem our kit seems to like alot of timing. { No spray}We did change the chamber shape. Applied Nitrous Technowlogy has sent us our tune up for this year and it appears that the timing will be retarded quite a bit. C-16 fuel ANT recommended N2O or C-23
