Not too dificult to make from an old core distributor. Use a hacksaw.

If you need the oil pump drive, do what Chuck said. If you don't need the drive, someone like David Willingham could make you a nice aluminum plug with an "O" ring groove at a reasonable price. Or if you want to go cheap, you could go to NAPA and find the appropriate size core plug, and tap one in.

could the factory 5.0 distribtorless one be adapted with the correct gear and shaft mods??? I've never see it attempeted but it might be worth looking at???

take a frezzplug, drill a hole in it,use a old crome lug nut,and a 1/2 bolt from bottom, and set it in there,done. great for storing engines

If its for storing it then the tapered rubber plugs from the hardware store work great,i also use them for the inlet/outlets on the radiator if i have to take it out.
