Hot tanking

What are you guys paying to have a block hot tanked?

I was quoted $50 to have my block cleaned. Thought that was a bit high. Would have figured $30.

It's a local thing, prices are different everywhere. If you are having the guy do several things at once, or all of them, you are likely to get a break. If you are going to do everything ala carte... it's more money. By the time you drive across town to drop it off and pick it up... $20 isn't much to make or break a deal.

seems like I paid around $50 last year this time so Id say thats a pretty good price.

I wouldnt take the job away from the shop doing the machine work if it were $75. One stop shopping saves both time and money in the long run.
