Anybody know computers?

I have an issue with my computer. It navigates the web just fine but I can't watch videos online, on youtube for instance, they are very jerky but the audio is good. I have a good connection and my computer is kinda old but has a bunch of unused memory. Any imput would be great!!

It takes a FAST internet connection and quite a bit of memory in order to stream video. I have a cable modem at 5 mb/s and it will stream without stopping. My daughter has Verizon DSL, which I always thought was fast but when I tried to watch a youtube clip on it the other day it too was jerky and stopped and started several times. You have to let it run through the first time, and then it will run right through when you replay it.

compress your hard drive it should take care of it

Some of the video nowadays is pretty big compared to what you used to get. You may have too much stuff running in the background as well, you can use Windows Task Manager to shut stuff off, but if your not sure what you're doing it can make your day a bad one!
