Don Bowles Mavrick

Anybody ever see this car up close? I was wondering what kind of chassis mods this car has had done to the front and back half to work as well as it does.

I've been under the car while it was on a drive on rack but didn't pay much attention [engines are my thing ] . I can tell you it is a ladder bar car .

You don't remember anything as for the front suspension?

I would say it still has all the stock front susp. AND stock drive train with a 3onthe tree. Possibly a heavy duty 9" clutch for the big wheel stands. 3/4 racing cam and 3 -1 barrel carbs. . Rumor has it a new Full Race cam is in the works.

Powerstroke, don't you know that if it's on the internet. it's got to be true.

Is this the old Super Stock Magazine Maverick? If it is (and if I remember correctly) Don Hardy did the original chassis work, it was ladder bars & modified stock front suspension at first.

I looked back and the S/S magazine Maverick was Arlen Fadely. Also found an old article on Don Bowles's '71 Mustang. I think Don also ran a Fairmont in super stock ('80's or 90's?).

runs a turbo 400 and Lenny at UCC's killer 7" converters.

The Fairmont was A/SM

I'm pretty sure when i looked at it at the Columbus NMRA race the shock towers were gone with struts.I would of had some pictures of it but my memory card in my camera screwed up on me.
