bad day loseing job

went to work this mor
everything was fine work has beed steady
orders have been steady
everything was looking like we were over the hump
we didi a buch of work and reorganized
quality was great dealers have been very happy wij our product
and then we all got called to a meeting
and they told us they are shutting the door's
i work for crestliner-triton-boats a brunswick company
i work in the pontoon dept as a welder
altho our orders are up they are gonna move the boats to lund
a comany they own about 80 miles north of us
and the pontoons in missouri to there harris cayat comany
they told us it should take 6-9 months but i think it is gonna happen sooner
this company has been ib this town since the 40's
i have worked there on and off for the last 10yrs
i carry the ins for the kid's and been the bread winner since the wife got layed off a yr ago
i guess i am in kinda bummed and worried
no were to work around here
i hope things get better but hope is minnumal
sorry for the long wind post i guess i just had to vent
i am trying to stay positive but i am sick about it

That sucks Jesse, wish I could help you out in some way. If you were down here, there still seems to be a lot of excellent welding jobs.

i am very tho
i have great frends and famly
and i am not gonna wait for the place to shut the door's
i already started calling places today when i got home
no one is hiring but i am still gonna go
and fill out app's and see if they will let me do some test welds
i am a dame good welder
i can do mig tig stick
alum-all typs of steel
you name it i can weld it
i am shure i will take a good pay cut but as long as there food on the table and a roof of my famly head
and my BBF is running than life is good

Nice thing about the trade you have is you can do some stuff on the side - like the say on Pass Time, "Cash is GOOD"!!!
