Curt posted a funny sbc header pic, so I went looking for more and found a bigger copy of the first pic & a second pic from a different angle.

Dave there is a reason why in some species of Animals the Mother eats their young, cuz they are to stupid to cope in real life....This is one of them that qualified for that.....

How much more horsepower did he pick up?

Considering the weight of the tubing, I'd think any horsepower gains(if there truly were any) would be offset by the added weight! My guess is the square tubing doesn't flow very well

You're probably right, they would be tough enough, that's for sure.

Seen this today it a bbc

I used to demo a lot.. We never wasted that much time on "puller" headers.. Just zoomies..and i certainly never saw such an engineering marvel at the derby either. I even made zoomies on a slant 6 (PITA) but definitly not out of square tubing. That must come out of Kentucky or West Virginia somewhere

Looks like an adaptation of a set of headers from an old 605" IH motor well pump engine header design. They were very crude, and all they did was sound like crap and get the exhaust out.

This motor was in a old vw van he made a tube chassis and the body was only about 2'' off the ground said he gets 19 mph out of it it looked like a rat rod should have gotten a pic of the hole van but didn't he said he had a 2.50 gear in it.Jones he might be there with it next week end it flat black you can't miss it
