No, they are not decent. In the General Discussion Section, there is a thread about the magazine article on that engine, and I said they were "weak".

WHY WOULDNT YOU BE HAPPY WITH THAT ? 900 HP WITH 12.5 COMP 557 CUBES AND A SMALL CAM ONE CARB I MEAN THERE ARE A COUPLE GUYS ON HERE WITH 2 CARBS -WAY MORE COMPRESSION,THAT ONLY MADE 100 MORE THAN THAT SO 900 SEEMS PRETTY GOOD MY 572 MADE ALMOST 900 WITH A NOS CAM AND 11.5 COMPRESSION
NOW DONT BEAT ME UP HERE - JUST CURIOUS

Re: 557 A-460 Heads Dyno Test,Do these numbers seem decent.
come on ...... my motor made 850 with 13.1 and a way,way smaller cam and only flowed 385 @ .800 and that is on a dyno that can break a mule ................... i would say very sad results !!!!

I did'nt read the spec's on the engine but w/the right cam/carb, that engine should br in the 950 range imo.

I'm no expert but the cam looks smallish.
For a mild build it don't look bad........max effort is a different story.
Whats the motor going in?

For reference: click --->Seth's 557 A-head
Much smaller cam, out of the box 2.3 heads, and 11:1 compression made within about 50 or 60 horsies when all was said and done.

Are you saying that the 3 514s, the 2 530s, and the 552 that make more, are your engines? With what heads? The TFS A-460's or what? I'm confused.
Thanks,
Charlie

Just for your information ... typing in all caps can get you ignored on here and probably will in the future.
Those numbers are about right for an "out of the box" 528 inch engine with those specs.

Randy,
When you say out of the box i guess you're talking about the heads?I thought for the flow numbers that they said got that it would have made more power than they made.They were going to try a tunnel ram with 2 carbs but ran out of time or something.
Later Mark.
