1948 Anglias+ 460BBf?
I don't know about ya'll but I totally dig street rods, Muscle cars, and Street Machines especially when they are Pro-Streeted
Anyone remember the 1948 Anglia
There is a guy who shows one in Mansfield it has a 8-71 BBC love the car but hate the engine.
Is it possible to swap a 460 BBF into one of these using a tube chassis & an A-arm front suspension
I think this should be possible as I have seen BBCs in Morris Minors.

Used to watch a crew run one of them with a blown 392 Chrysler hemi at Westhampton drag strip back in the sixties, it was a wild ride! If that blown 392 fit in it - a big block Ford should fit.

I've always wanted to make a dragcar out of one, with a BB ford of course. I have lived here at this house nearly 5 years and this whole time one has been about 150 yards from my front door.
Gonna try and get ahold of him this weekend..............he's gotr some pretty cool shit just sittin over there, I'll try and take some pics tomorrow if I think about it.

There is a lady here that races a opel, with a winsor init, she turned on over on a time pass, got out of the groove, looked like the pro stock boys at Phonex last week, but the folling year she had another opel, running mid-eights in the 1/4, wheel base is too short for me.

Opels, Morris Minors, Anglias/Thames, Pintos and others like them can have Neanderthal table manners short wheel base sometimes= ill-handling.
I was at a Muscle car event at Norwalk and watched an Anglia crunch its Passenger fender into the guard rail about 80 feet into the the run it made a nasty right.
I have also seen a Morris Minor with a BBC bend its wheelly bars at Dragway 42.

A father and son local to me each have an Opel GT. Both with SBCs. One has been ill handling and on the wall but they are sorting it out....

A guy in town used to run an Arrow with a B1 big block Dodge. The Arrow has a shorter wheelbase than a Pinto!! Car was vary fast and went straight....most of the time!!

A buddy of mine is a member of Goodguys and he gives me all his mags from the events.
I drool over the few Anglia pics there are unfortunately most have BBC or SBCs.
Love these cars & I remember the Plymouth Arrow it is a smaller car than the Pinto.
