anyone know hte going rate for custom pistons from say probe or dimond? just a ballpark figure

I dont think Probe makes custom pistions. No

most companies are around the same price. I have used many different brands. BME is probably my favorite but diamond, mahle, ross, and je all make a quality product. I have used probes in engines before without failure also but they weren't custom. The last I heard probe did make them custom but I may be wrong. scratch

i was hoping it would be in the 700 dollar range bounce

Im just looking for some pistons for kaase scj/P-51's that would make 12:1 instead of 10.6 or 13.9:1

I would go with Diamond. Excellent customer service and competitive prices.

We use ROSS for customs....but lately we've been just having folks go direct.

Carl is a dealer for Diamond, and I'm sure he can tell you if they do customs in the ballpark $$$ you are looking at.

I couldn't agree more.

One item that people overlook is the wrist pins. We had some issues in this area but after going to the BME pins, it is not an issue anymore. They are not cheap but you don't even think about them after putting them in.

sounds like im going to try and give dimond a call today.
I hope they can build pistons to the same weight specs of the pistons currently sitting in my bores What a Face
