Dry basement Empty Dry basement

Post  Mike R March 13th 2010, 11:20 pm

It's been raining all week, the snow is all gone and my basement is dry. I bought this house 2 years ago and had water in the basement each spring. I regraded the yard and poured new sidewalks last fall and crossed my fingers when it started warming up. Hallelujah, its dry as a bone down there. Now all i have to do is grow a yard.

Oh I don't miss those days at all. When I was a teenager we had a house the would damn near flood every spring. My bedroom was in the basement and nothing would make you happier than getting out of bed and stepping in 2-3" of water. I don't know why my dad never got it fixed??????

We just did an insurance cleaning job, a lady's sump pump quit and she ended up with a few inches of water all over her carpet. They replaced the underpad, we got her carpet all cleaned up!!

It's good to get one with a battery back up. And check it often!!
