Thrashing for the Bash
Ok guy's, I know i've got alot of Threashing to do before the Bash this year. The engine is out of LiL Tweety and completely apart. The new A460 block is at the shop for final honing and wide Cam bearings. Tranny is being gone through,TFS tunnel Ram is being powder coated,Headers should be back from NitroPlate any day.Worked on the new battery box today.Block should be back late next week.Hope too do some tnt a couple of times before the Bash.
So who else is thrashing and what kind of thrashing are you doing.

Rick,
Trust me, "THEY" are thrashing. The same crew that's working on your buddy Terry's pulling truck engine.
We've dynoed three big block Ford engines in the last two weeks,,,,and number four goes on the dyno tomorrow evening, or Friday morning.

Re: Thrashing for the Bash
I'm in the same boat...see sig line. The engine is sitting there in it's cradle waiting for it's new diaper...trans is fresh and ready to go in...just got the rear-end housing back from the chassis guy, had it narrowed 1/2" on each side with new housing ends...new 35 spline axels and spool coming from Moser...new Wilwood disc brake kit to assemble and install...ladder bars hanging up with fresh paint, waiting for new front rod ends to arrive....and the list goes on and on.

Re: Thrashing for the Bash
I haven't had a chance to look at either car yet. Ordered new slicks from Phillip for the Mustang .Will be here monday ,I did start it one day last week while it was warm. Going to Blake's tomorrow to try to get my engine assembled and see where we are on valve clearance and pushrod length. Hope next weekend maybe we can fire that beast up. Gotta pull axles on both cars and check bearings , think I'lll pull the center section on the Tbird and check it out. Finally got Keown's black truck done ,so now maybe I can work on mine a day or two. Got 2 really big jobs in now though ,so who knows ???

He'd better keep that mullet away from power tools. lol
Charlie, keep cracking that whip. I sent a box of stuff that should be there today. I'll call Shawn and Bob and let them know to be looking for it.

Re: Thrashing for the Bash
Seems I'm in the same boat as most of you guys are. Both motors for my truck are apart and scattered a bout. Ordered a bunch of parts that I knew I was gonna need and then this week ordered some expensive pieces that I wasn't planning on purchasing. Thats par for the course I guess. Driving that truck to the bash again this year keeps looking more far fetched as each week goes by. This sucks because I have been looking forward to the bash since Stan and I got back from last year's event!

I'm not thrashing anything. The beer bet is keeping me broke, but it should be over by then, and I'll come watch and take pictures.
