Headder Issue
Anybody have issues with D&D headders being super tight. They clear the k-member fine. Around the bell for the trans it is a B!tch to put it together. It's like all needs to be put together at one time. They definatly hugg the block and oil pan as well.

I've read & heard from others that they point inwards at the collector, causing issues if you have a deep pan C6. Don't understand why that is, as the clearance seems to be good otherwise..
If it weren't for that I'd jump to them and scrap my Hookers tomorrow

Me too... I'm holding out for a deal on something better for the new car...
But I may have to bite the bullet for this year and BFH the firewall on the new car for now..

Re: Headder Issue
On the passenger side you will need to massage the bell housing at the corner above the starter and yes two tubes come close to the sides or the oil pan, I put some header wrap on mine. They won't work with a pro style kickout pan.
These are 2 1/8 D&D headers not hookers guys, you need to put a set of 2 1/4 A460headers in...... It a much bigger joy.......

Re: Headder Issue
Thanks for the info, I will work on them today. I have a canton fox pan. I love these headders, they work great.
One other thing that is off the subject, I was talking to my buddy yesterday about the old days and he said about a time when people would run mail boxes for a scoop on a T/R. I thought he was joking, or is this the great part of the redneck world.

I don't know about running a mailbox on a tunnel ram, BUT I know a certain front engine TOP GAS dragster that ran one on the injector in the earl 70's..

What you put on the carb for the scoop is the mailbox that they put your newspaper in. Those plastic ones, they look dang good too. Like the one in this picture on the left.QtrWarrior wrote:Tennessee Bullitt wrote:Thanks for the info, I will work on them today. I have a canton fox pan. I love these headders, they work great.

Re: Headder Issue
I wouldn't, barn doors are too small for proper flow and would choke off the intake side.dfree383 wrote:The barn mail box would rule.... I don't think any one here would have the balls to do it.....
