NMRA 2009 Champion Will attend BBF Bash

Hey guy's My friend Bob Cochran (NMRA Truck Champion)from Columbus Ohio called today wanting info about the Bash. Luckily this years event doesn't interfere w/his very busy schedule from the NMRA circuit and his Major sponsor CJ PonyParts events. Bob has assured me he will be there Thursday afternoon and will stay for the entire event competing in the (NO Box) class) He said he will also try to bring some friends and other NMRA competitors from the Chicago area w/him. So let's all welcome Bob when we get there.
Like Harold said in another thread earlier, if we that plan to attend can get just one friend/racer to attend it will make this event a huge success.

I'm sure I'll be there.....just not sure the car will be ready. Lots of work to go on the car.....lots of work and travel to earn the dough.

Yea, Bob's a great guy and very excited about making the event. his truck is a 521 BBF w/CJ Alum. heads and a C6. He's gonna be tough to beat in the NB class.

that is 1 cool truck, cant wait to c it in action

It's good to hear Bob is going to be there with the old truck.There's a nice article on him in the May 2010 Racepages.

Bob says the best pass so far with the truck is a 11.52 at 113 mph.

That 11.52 would equal pretty close to 7.33 in the 1/8 mile.
