NEW OIL PAN!!!

Just got my new CHARLIE'S oil pan today! It's for the boat......

Lem seen this post and right away called me. Can you believe that, Lem is a huge name in the Engine world and he took the time to call me! I'm turkey shit compared to that kat.
Anyway he wanted me to fill the sump up with water and see how much she held. 5.625 quarts. That's just the lower sump, this pan is gonna hold a ton of oil, plus my oil cooler, and the remote oil filter. I'm looking at 15 - 18 quart system.. AWESOME!

Damn, you could make your own private little oil slick, if he has a mishap, the price of gas will rise.

Forgive my ignorance but are the holes along the side rails to bolt the pan to the block? I am not seeing how you could get to them when its up against the block. I am not familiar with boats.

Note the pipe plugs in the bottom of the pan. You take them out BEFORE YOU PUT THE OIL IN, and reach up thru the hole to install the bolts.

That's the one thing about building our toy's, we don't need it to be Dec 25th for it to be X-MAS! Sweet pan Adam..
