Re: How much horspower ???

Re: How much horspower ???
Given that a SS Hemi car has a minimum weight of 3212lbs on a good run in good air conditions there have been many 8.50's recorded in the 1/4 that equates to a high 5.30 to low 5.40 in the 1/8. thease cars are no were near 1500hp. a great piece probably 970hp. that being said. I think 1050hp would get the job done ( not on 10.5 bicycle slicks though ) just food for thought. those on line calculators are a ballpark. usually slow from my experience.

Re: How much horspower ???
My 665 C headed engine made between 1200 and 1250. Our car ran 5.20s at 134-136 on stock suspension with the true 10" tires. The horsepower is not the problem, getting it to the ground is the problem.
