Morgan's Pro Stock Ford
I went and visited the shop today. I saw the damage. It appears they have found the problems and they are now working to get the new motors built. Look for them to come back. It was a learning pain. I wont say what it was. A small problem can cause big damage. I did get to see some of the new neat stuff they are doing. I am looking forward to see the next runs. John's and Larry's car will be coming back. Both are getting the motors fixed up. I hope the faithfuls will understand the learning process. This stuff is not our exact BBF stuff.

What happened? I read the NHRA results and it doesn't say anything bad. John's car has been my wallpaper ever since I got back from Pomona - lots of purple and Ford when I spark ithe computer up. Beautiful car...

Yeah, ain't it though. Same firing order and everything. Rumor has it, they've been experiencing burnt pistons in the engines. Is Cunningham & Enders having the same issues? Oh yeah, not trying to be a jerk or anything, but if you can't talk about it, why post it up? Kinda like fishing and not putting the bait in the water. Just my .02

Larry's Fords
IT was something that threw the timing off 4 degrees, I know what it was. Its the simple stuff that just got them. They have fixed it and are engineering it to prvent repeats. They have made some other adjustments. I saw nobile's car at the shop. She is a pretty thing.
On a day different note, if you run a belt drive make sure you have a dowl pin in the cam shaft to keep the cam sprocket from moving. Having two bolts through the cam does not ensure the the cam sprocket does not move. Jesel belt drive would be where I saw this happen. Having the dowl like we have on BBF is a must to ensure proper timing.

After the first qualifying round on Saturday Larry is in the 5th spot with a 6.673 @ 205.69. He is getting better every weekend. I'm glad to see he is making progress.

Yeh, 5th spot beats hell out of just making the field and being a sitting duck in the 1st round. I'll be watching tonight. Shoot, maybe he can even move up a spot or two. Larry really is a good guy.

Hello Al,
I'm doing well. I do have trouble getting around on this forum. I wish there was a "todays posts" or a "new posts" button like the other sites have. 460ford.com sure has gone down hill since it was sold. GO MORGAN!!!! He will cut a light on V I hope.

Pretty tight field, when there's less than .05 separating 1-16..........

Anyone heard what the Cunningham team is doing lately? Hopefully they are testing if they aren't at the race.

I've heard through the grapevine that they are trying to resolve some longevity issues. Don't know how much validity there is to the story, but that's what I was told. My guess is they are looking for more power as well. They are getting there, just not as fast as we all would like. I'm sure budget is an issue as well.

Yea she does! I continued switching between channels awaiting the race to appear and found myself watching the tennis game a little longer each time, those girls sure look nice in those tennis outfits! I did peep into the bedroom where my "sweetie" lyes sound asleep .... oh well no luck tonight so I returned to the couch! I'm feeling a bit "chubby" just writing about it! ... ...
