There is alot of info here http://raceone85.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general

I have been running it for two years now and I really like it. You have to stay on top of the ethanol % and tune to it. If you can't tune a carb don't mess with it JMHO. You have to step up everything in a gas carb about 20% as a starting point. Get a A/F meter like a Innovate LM2 and set it on lambda and start tuning. My fuel system was build for alky or gas, fuel pump is a gas version and I have not had any issues. For your car I would suggest calling Pro systems and talking to Patrick about one of the SV1 carb for E-85 he said that it was pretty good piece. It keeps the engine cool like alky and acts like alky when the weather changes.

QuickFuel makes a conversion kit for your carb. Check Quick Fuel Technology.

Since it has been mentioned before that alcohol % consistency is a problem with using E-85 in a race car, I was wondering if buying it in bulk by the drum from a fuel distributor every time (vs buying it at the pump) would help the consistency problem?

Or is the alcohol % consistency still way off batch to batch even buying by the drum?

Probably just as cheap or cheaper than the E-85.......E-85 is no bargain around here.

Dave, you still need to check it, I just took a drum the the gas station and filled it up $120 to fill it up, got home and checked it and it was 88% ethanol. That tells me the fuel in that drum will run a little leaner that the last drum which was 85%. If you are bracket racing you have to check the fuel. If you race around here and against me don't check it. Anybody Running E85 in there race cars Lol

As far as the quick fuel plates you can do it,but I know of guys going that route and got all pissed and gave up, all where chevy guys Anybody Running E85 in there race cars Confused hell they couldn't build a Ford and make it run either Anybody Running E85 in there race cars Lol . Like I said before if you can tune a carb go for it you will like it.

I have ran alky but at 10:1 seemed not as consistent as far as ET as gas also seemed to be more maintenance, changing oil, filters and getting drum after drum I make around 250+ passes a year so I went thru 8 to 10 drums. I guess its just a little easier to run down to the store and get some.
