The black pump is compatable, the little holley deadhead regulator not so much. You really need a decent bypass style reg to make that small pump work anyway, the reg needs to anodized and the diaphram alky compatable.

The ones we use are for belt pumps, a local machine shop that does a lot of lot of roundy round stuff gets them made. Not sure how they would work with an electric pump.
With our electric stuff we used a deadhead reg made by magnafuel, but with that small of a pump it might hurt the flow, but a good reg might not so much...........but the good ones are $$$$$$ lol.
Just make sure any aluminum is anodized or it will powder up and clog stuff up. Make sure the fuel filter is a stainless screen type.

I have been comparing fuel system components... and the overall cost for alky compatible stuff isn't that much different. The difference one will notice more is quality and buying the larger size needed, as the volume the alky uses seems to me that you need to step everything up a size. In the end, the alky will save you a bit of cash when buying fuel... it's a pay me now or pay me later deal.

If you buying it all new its pretty much the same coin, you can get by with a system thats not "fine tuned" on gas, alky not so much. The black pump should be fine for that sbc deal, you need a decent regulator......not sure if the big port holley deadhead deal is anodized, but i think it might work, cell in the front will be better. If you had a larger pump it would make things easier lol.
Alky is worth it, for a bracket racer the consistancy and less cooling issues are a big plus.
I dont even run a radiator in my deal, I had to hot lap it a couple weeks ago and had to run the fan on the tranny cooler and plug the block heaters in lol.

Bruno, I am guessing this is for the other car? Is the regulator you have on the mustang alky compatible? If so, you might consider using the same style regulator for the second car, which gives you sort of a backup/spare, at least until you actually start racing them both.

I am using an alky QFT 950 on my small block I think I could go with a 1050 alky carb

Nick I got a quick fuel regulator I can send you to see if it will work with the pump set up you are using. It uses a holley jet to set the idle pressure and an adjustable diaphragm for the wide open pressure. If it don't work you can send it back to me or buy it or have Lem or Phillip send you one from quick fuel if it works correctly.

sounds similar to the one we use, I'd plug the bleed hole, its designed for a belt pump so it will bleed off at low rpm.............3-4 psi and when rpm comes up so does the pressure. With the electric pump the flow is constant.
