I am putting together an OLD motorsport A head, TFS intake 528 ci. cherry

I am calling it the recycled motor because I am using parts on my shelf, left from various shctuff. cheers

cam is comp .761-.761 280* @ .050 intake
296* @ .050 exhaust

Because I've never had a TFS intake, Question is, what should I do to intake other than a gasket match? How high a spacer? I have a 1" Wilson in stock.

Cam thoughts? LEM? I think it will be ok, but I'd like to hear from outside. I'm thinking 1.8 rockers on intake, and 1.73 exhaust. study

Robert,

If it is the old style intake, which was more of a low riser, then yes we found a total of 2" of spacers worked best. You can have a four hole into cloverleaf setting on top of a completely open spacer. I don't know what style your Wilson piece, but it an another spacer should work okay.

I'll leave the cam specs up to Lem, that's his department.

The Jomar 1" power cone is prefered......I'm sure the 1" Wison will be good if you have one in hand and paid for Smile

Lem,
I don't have any flow #'s . these heads went 7.78 @ 172 on a 509 short in my dragster. I think they work pretty good.

it is going in a 2600lb with driver door car with a glide.

I am going to try and put compression at 14.7

Wilson spacer is on hand and paid for... pirat cheers

The spacer is a Wilson tapered spacer. Also should we leave the cloverleaf alone on the intake?

IMO do what you gotta' do,,,,, in order for the exit surface of the Wilson spacer, to mate/match the inlet surface of the manifold's carb pad. You can go either cloverleaf to cloverleaf, or cloverleaf to open, or open to open.
