What kind of heads are these?
Just bought a boat w a 460 (already checked the numbers) that has cylinder heads that have BBC exhaust bolt pattern. I did a forum search here and couldn't find anything.
I was told by someone that they might be Yates heads or some company from Australia that copied some Super CJ's. Any one have any idea what these might be?
Thanks

Blue Thunder makes a head with a BBC exhaust and the A460 head uses a BBC flange.

Initial guess is the Blue Thunders, as they use the standard valve pierce points and are a direct bolt on a standard short block. They could be either cast iron or aluminum. If cast iron, they are definately Blue Thunder. Either way you have a very nice set of heads.

They're cast iron so I guess Blue Thunders? that's a nice surprise! I have a Gale Banks TT system for a BBC so I bought a set of ford log manifolds that bolted rt up to the turbos, I felt like a total idiot when those didn't fit, then for s**ts and giggles looked at the chevys and they bolted right up!

Yep definately Blue Thunders. Those are some really nice heads, most pullers and mud drag guys with cast iron rules would give their eye teeth for a set of them.
