Spend the extra $$ on the MSD or Mallory stuff. Good rule of thumb with procomp parts is, if it moves or inolves electricity, avoid it........... and if it doesn't move or involve eletricity, check it over twice and still think twice about spending your money on it, because cheap usualy means more expensive in the long run......

The only ProComp ignition box and distributor I have actually seen in operation....were nothing but grief for their owner. Maybe you'll get a good one though.

I'll say this about the pro-crap stuff. Run, run very fast away from it! I put together a basically stock 460 for my buddy's bronco and he's been having problems with the thing. When I had the motor with my MSD stuff, it had no problems, now with his procrap HEI, it's timed right at idle and runs fine, but just cruizing around it overheats and runs like crap. Putting the timing light on and revving the motor you can see the spark move all over the place and not advance as it should.

Re: ProComp ignition parts?
The truck i bought has a procomp coil, ignition box, and distributor. The distributor is a billet knock off. I plan to change that out imediatley because you can see the distributor move around like the gear is not centered or its too long and binding up. Everything works it has spark and the motor runs pretty good but you get what you pay for. Im going to swap out the distributor for a stock one that i have and plan on swapping out the box and coil when money permits. All of the parts look really cheaply made and are junk im my opinion.
