Re: Bruno takes the 10.5 non W title
Well I was announcing and trust me, Nick did it. He got the big check! He was running a string of 5.60's and in the finals he beat Greg Gowie out of Springfield, IL. Greg was running very quick also. I think Nick is certainly to be commended and I went up and shook his hand afterwards an told him he did a fine job. In fact all the 10.5 tire guys did.
In the finals of the Gamblers race it was two American Racecars dragsters with David Cole taking the win over Scott Carman. Scott dialed 4.76 and David dialed 4.78. Both of those cars were running 598 CID engines with TFS A-460 heads and the TFS single intake manifold.
There were a big bunch of really fast dragsters with Bobby Small being the quickest with a 4.54 and a 4.52, on just the engine, "all motor" as we say.
I think we had a little better turn-out of cars than last years event and I've really had fun today. It's neat not being outnumbered by Chevys,,,,,, but being amongst family and friends, you kinda' feel like you've died and gone to Ford Heaven. I'm looking forward to tomorrow! Also a BIG thanks goes out to LeRoy and John Bozelle for bringing in crawfish from Louisiana and feeding everybody.
Guys, there's a brand new single plane intake manifold out from TFS for the 4500 Dommy, and Lem had it on display over in his tent. A pre-production run as they call it. For those of you that want to step up from the Victor, for your CJ style/OEM style heads, you better call and order one from Lem.

Charlie,
I thought a couple of years back you and Lem were doing some of your own R&D on the Victor style intake ? and I thought someone had mentioned that you guys were working with TFS on the side for a better mouse trap ? Is this intake the result in some of your findings, grindings and flow tests ? Just Curiuos !
