Passing of Forum Member Hal Renninger, "Cobralcon"
Everyone,
I'm sure all of you have seen the amazing build of "Cobralcon" by the forum member of the same screen name, who's real name is Hal Renninger. He's also a member of The Ford Falcon News forum and where I found this post:
http://www.tffn.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=22425
He passed away in his sleep on May 2nd. May he rest in peace and I wish his family well.

Re: Passing of Forum Member Hal Renninger, "Cobralcon"
Very sad to hear. The thing I don't like about forums is that you can know so many people, but you don't KNOW them. If one was to pass away you could never truly say..........I don't know how to put it into words. I'm glad he at least didn't have to suffer or feel it, but it is extremely sad that he sensed that he was going to die. I hope no one ever has to have that feeling and wish that he never had to either. This shows how much he really cares about cars, to leave the screen up like that but not even let his wife know how he was feeling. Its very very sad to hear this, I hope he is in a better place now. In Ford heaven, condolences go out to the family. Rest In Peace Ford brother, I know you will.
I guess what I was trying to say that is you talk to someone on a forum so much and follow their words of wisdom. But when they pass you are left with nothing, sometimes not even a name to remember them by. But yet you can love the people around you on a forum so much as he did without a face to put the name to. You guys understand what I'm trying to say, he will be missed a lot.

I hear you. I actually bought something from him only a few days before he passed, so we had an actual transaction. That made it a bit more 'real' for me it hit just a little closer to home than it probably normally would've.
I'm sure Carl (CarsbyCarl) feels the same way, if not more so.

I talked to Hal a great deal through the course of his project. Hearing the news of his passing has been a real shock. Glad that he got to see the car through completion, but wish he had more time to enjoy it.
