Like Al Neal always says............how did it run?
That's the deal.........we should judge when/if it goes down the track. Fabio could pick the thing up 33 MPH with A+ tune up

and on a serious note this will tell the tale, kinda like that 995 hp scj headed deal on the other forum that runs like a 895 deal.
Hell I could have produced a 680hp dyno sheet with the 306 if one puts the right numbers in the slot.
Might also be the place that built this p51 deal builds those 1100hp pump gas Chevy motors as well.

Re: 1000 hp P51 headed motor?????
Yep, I have serious doubts about this 1000 Hp P-51 headed engine also. At least this particular engine from whatever shop built it. Thay are not tellling very many facts about the build, so questions are out there.
The Kentucky Krew has built two serious "big horsepower" P-51 headed engines thus far and as most of you know, Randy Moore's 562 engine was 951 Hp. Earlier this srping we built Bobby Shrewsberry's 559 CID P-51 headed engine and it was 942 Hp. Of course Bobby just won SuperPro at the 2010 Ford Bash with it, and the e.t. slips back up and validate the dyno numbers. Again, the same with Randy Moore's P-51 headed engine. The e.t. slips back up and validate the dyno numbers.
I believe that a true 1000 Hp P-51 headed engine is possible, in fact I'm toying around with a couple of intake manifolds that we might dyno test on the next P-51 engine. One would probably have to go up in cubic inches from what we've done with the 559-562 units. Other options that one might use to help get "there", would be dry sumps and vacuum pumps.
