Brought the Bird home
Made a long drive yesterday. 800 miles round trip in one day. Brought my new to me door car home. I really like it and it seems to be put together very well. Mild steel chassis Alston kit. Struts up front and ladder bars out back. Certified 25.4 good to 7.50 1/4 mile at up to 3600 lbs. Not too heavy but not that light either. Only fiberglass is hood and trunk. Only lexan is in the doors. It formerly had a 615 BBC on spray so I'll have to change the front motor plate tabs, but it just needs motor, trans and a good cleaning.
What do yall think?
PS: Nick Bruno, it's got 10.5W's on it LOL

I hope I have a line on an engine that might become available.
If not, I will build a close cousin to the 588 that was on my dragster.

It's got the 33X10.5W' now. It also came with a set of 33X15 with 20 passes on them. With the correct offset it could hold a Pro Stock tire. It's got about 2-3" clearance on the outside and almost 6" on the inside.

The rear spoiler was built by the previous owner. The dash is from Hairy Glass. It's a 95-98 Mustang GT dash. Only 4 bolts to remove it. Part #357 $290

Very nice piece. I can't believe someone would build a car that nice and then screw it up with a Chevy motor. Glad to see it will be getting real motor.

That's one sharp looking bird. It looks fast standing still.
So what are you doing with your rail?

That is a beautiful car for sure!! But I may be a bit biased.....
They sure do make a great looking race car. X2 on it being 10000x better with a Ford engine.

Very nice David. I want a rear spoiler like that on LiL Tweety. Just a reminder Dave,Jack the rear up and pull a tire and wheel off before you chance offset's.The wheel has to slide out over the LONG wheel studs. So if you get to much offset you might have to drop the rear down to change slicks.PITA

Car
That is one cool ride!!!!!!!! I liked the pipe rack but door cars king. I know as always you will finish it off with your talent to dress it fit to kill and attention to detail. As for a motor program I know where ther is a 514 with a fresh rub of snake jelly/NOS and a ultra glide that won't get to see much use later this yr. It is there if you need to use it.
