Re: Fun Deal
I think more than anything the fun will be that Lem will have helped the 2nd kid Oakley (my daughter) start one of her dreams. Just going out to have a good time and make laps. NO PERFORMANCE PRESSURE.
I know I cant wait.

Re: Fun Deal
It's gonna be fun......she aint gonna have to have 850+ lbs ft tq. to learn on . Some times these "soft" deals may be pretty good .Oakley Motorsports wrote:I think more than anything the fun will be that Lem will have helped the 2nd kid Oakley (my daughter) start one of her dreams. Hell we also gained the advantage of a aluminum block by removing my fat butt out of the seat.

Simple....I got to do what I wanted to do. No rules considerations , outside opinions or other queered-up stuff to deal with .
Spoken like a true gentleman.
Sounds like a cool deal to me.

Re: Fun Deal
Considering some of the stipulations people put on stuff I can understand the "fun" part of this build.

Re: Fun Deal
Had the chance to run Morgans car this weekend. 5.07 off the trailer with a 1.09 60 ft. best et 5.02 with 1.07 60 ft at 136 and change. Going to make a booster change on the carb and look at the 4's. Cool thing was 9 inch convertor and shifting at 6700.
Failed to mention Morgan will be at the wheel this weekend and thank goodness she is 100 lbs lighter than the old man. Love to see this thing run some 4.80's in good air.
I want to say a special thanks for all of those that have helped us out on this engine. Jb at Jomar Your the best always helping us when we are in need. Tim Murphy at the Fab shop thanks so much for the headers and adaptors they are sweet. Marvin @Quick fuel for the carb and plumbing you always there for us. Lawes Mayfield thanks for all that you have helped us with. Automotive Machine could not do it without your help. All these folks helped out on this engine project and Thank you so much. Most of all THANK YOU LEM You have done so much to help my family I will never be able to re-pay you. You are truly a great FRIEND and even better Step-Daddy.

90* adapter worked fine.David Cole wrote:Looks great!
I will be surprised though if the angled oil fill adapter fits. I used a Canton remote adapter. Seems like I remember a chassis upright in the way. I hope it fits though. Never tried one. I just assumed it was too close.
