Al, I don't see that number in either the 1998 or the 2001 catalogs. Wut's a M-6200-A75.......for those who don't know

Sounds like FRPP truck rods ......long gone....I bought the last batch they had....maybe 2 or more years ago .
Re: Ford racing # M-6200-A75
Is that pretty much like the Boss "S" rods?

NM....I think I found it. It's the D7VE-AA rod. I guess they give it a new number when they put it in the hotrod parts catalog. I'd think they wouldn't be too hard to find in junkyard motors. It was introduced in 1977 foor truck use.

I like new too....
Didnt really want to mess with used junk if I could help it.
Too bad they dropped them, seems there would be a market for the little guys using stock dimension stuff.
Lem,how much call do you get for stock items like this compared to Chevy spec items?
Thanks.

Hi Rick,
I hear ya there on the swaps. Been down that road before. For #'s, thats why Im here! Plus share my love. Paul Kane turned me on to theese Motorsport rods. Looks like Im a couple years too late But we'll see. He me told Kaase had them in a 800HP build
FEI, I asked Paul Kane why he hadnt been around. Hes been busy with the network 54 deal. It isnt up yet. It will be tightly moderated over there and not get out of hand like they did on the corporate forum. Hes waiting for the trouble-makers
Nick, I told him we missed him, and were "TRYING to be good boys over here
He said he'd make it over when he got a chance.
Thanks guys.
Al

And if you want a little FL sunshine, you should make it to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona.....Thanksgiving weekend. If you can't find it there, it probably doesn't exist.

??????,
Where you coming from with that number? Thats a 91 year number. Supposedly they were a D7 rod. Plus the Ford number is on this thread title. Was this the ACTUAL # on the rod? I saw the boxes Paul had, and it was M-6200-A75. Please explain.
Maybe the 91 year model came about, since theese were used on early 514 crate motors in the early 90's?
Thanks.

Re: Ford racing # M-6200-A75
The engineering # cast on the rod [or other parts] is not the part # that's in the dealers parts book . The FRPP # is not the same as dealer parts .
Re: Ford racing # M-6200-A75
I just checked the dealer just now. I used the F1#
Only 6 listed in the country! , and remanufactured now, instead of new. At $65 bucks a pop, thats no deal. Oh well!
Regards.

By the way, the FRPP catalog lists the A75's for $225/set, and I see Bryant Motorsports has some on eBay right now for $175/set.

the main reason Ford used the 6.605" rods in the 4.300" stroke engines is that they had a pile of cheap rods to use up .
