Need assistance with stereo noise

I am helping a buddy install a new stereo with 250 watt 2 channell amp in his 79 f-150. Everything is wired and working but we are getting either altenator or sparkplug wire noise through the speakers. How can we stop this interference? The local audio shop closed around here so we dont have anyone to ask or get the proper stuff from. Please help and thanks for your assistance!

Usly if you have like popping sound it is sparkplug wire or wires ,wineing noise usly comes from altenator check all your grounds you may have a loose ground.If no loose groung get noise suppression Bruno should have them or if you have a Radio Shack thay carry them. I have found most of the
time it is a bad chassie ground. Bruno might know more than me on radio that just what i have found on radios i have put in.If it is the sparkplug
wires get a set but dont get solidwire core or off road wires get the standard wires.I put off raod wires on my truck and got popping noise in my radio
went back to standard and popping went away.
