I seen a first at the junkyard today

My son and I were walking past the yards engine pile and right in front of us laid a freshly removed set of D0ve-c heads with manley guide plates and screw in studs and a D1ve short block. Someone did a crappy weld job on a broke out exhaust manifold bolt hole on one of them.
Anyhow I asked the yard boss what he had to have for them and he wanted me to name the price.
We left without them as I didn't want to pi** the guy off. I may go back and offer him $20 or $30 for the heads and short block. The studs and guide plates are worth that.
What do you guys think??

Just offer him that or scrap price, whatever that is right now. If they are junk, ill take the guideplates.
