69 ford ranger what's it worth??

I found a 69 f100 short bed 2wd that looks brand new it's has disk brake all the way around power steering Factory a/c that need fixing almost perfect interior. It has a 360 engine runs like new it has a new tranny the only problem is I can see a Lil rust coming threw on the bottom of the doors no other rust.
Everything works all gauges, speedo, lights everything also has new tires and wheels he's asking 3000 for it I really won't it but I don't need it lol is it worth it ?

sounds like a fair price to me if its as clean as you say it is, I've seen them go for alot more.

I had a 74 250 4x4 with 360 and it was real good on gas, and ran better than some 390s.

It is worth what you will pay for it....

Most definantly. I know my 67-72 trucks like the back of my hand, that's a price I would be willing to pay. Sounds like a good deal. Long bed? Any pictures? You can get a lot of parts for it if you need to, I know some places.

It's a short bed no pics as far as part I've got 2 parts trucks a 67 and 68 hoods and grills are hard to come by I got him down to 2800 working on 2500.
The only thing that worries me is it does have a small amount of rust I don't wanna buy it and 2 years down the road sand the paint off and it b ate up with rust

If you can sandblast it now then prime, seal, and paint it I would. Its rusting at the seam right? That happens a lot, a small sandblaster will do the job. If you do end up doing that I would pull the panel off the door then blast the seam from the inside too if its rusted there also. Fix it now and you wont have to worry about it down the road. Still worth 3k, the guy wanted 2500 for mine, got it for 1500 and it still was in need of a resto.

the bottom of the doors is the worst rust point on 67-72 ford trucks. I wouldn't worry about the rust. those trucks are so tough that anything can be fixed own the road and parts are not that hard to come by for those year models even though people think otherwise.

My dad has a 72 F100 with a 360 and a factory three on the tree that we changed to a C6 in 94 or so. It is tough as nails and we can buy any replacement part needed.

The FE motor is damn tough too. the 360 is just a shorter stroke 390. heck you can throw a 4.25 stroke crank in it and take it 30 over and you have 445 cubic inches. 360's are not that bad on fuel. we have a 360 in our truck with an edelbrock rpm intake, 650 carb, headers, petronix ignition in the stock dizzy, a little custom hydraulic cam, custom torque converter, shift kit in the trans, and 3.5 gears. It pulled my open race trailer with a maverick and all other race gear down the road 70mph and I got about 10-11mpg but empty running down the road it got around 16mpg. I drove it an hour each way to college for three years so my data was pretty good. and it had a dealer installed ac too.

The 360 requires a easy foot. They are not lovers of RPM, and if overspun, they will spit the rods out with frequency.

The rust on the bottom of the doors is very normal for that year one other place to look around at the floor board at the dimmer swicth dirt gets under the mat/carpet where the swicth come trow at.My 69F100 Custom swb I wouldn't take less than $4500 but it not stock.When I reworked mine I had to patch the doors and around the dimmer swicth or than that it was rust free.One thing about them they have some heavy steel in them and they are tough old trucks.If it is as good as you say I think it would be worth it.

Dang if yall are payin $2500 to $3000 for one I better jump on the 67 I found for $500. Its rust free and has been converted to disc brakes in the front, 360 and a c6 that needs rebuild.

So? That just means that the door has been swapped out. People interchange a LOT of 67-72 truck parts, some people have a 68 frame, 67 cab, 70 bed, 72 grill, 71 fenders, and 69 motor. They work fine together so it doesn't matter, I can tell you where to check on the frame if you want to. If that number matches then its the same truck as the one on the title.

I've dealt a lot with lost titles and abandoned car titles lately. It's a pain but worth it.
