Re: Turbo Builds
Thanks! We are still experiencing some engine smoking/oiling problems. But I have the motor at Jeff Naiser's here in Houston. He will figure it out and we will be at the track real soon!

Looked damper. I have same damper. Do you damper middle part wrong direction or can that install how you want?
I have unfinished oilpump/ startter drive to dampper and its lots of easyer build if that middle part is like you have.
Some pics engine and unfinished header:

Re: Turbo Builds
WJ-
Not real sure what you mean by the dampner middle part? My ATI came assembled. I will tell you that since I have a short snout crank I am using a small block balancer. Not sure if this is what u are asking. As far as I know, the balancer/dampner only goes on one way.

I am running a Peterson WetVac pump. The vacuum portion has always been pulling vacuum. We have never tried to run it without vacuum hooked up. I have tried adjusting the relief valve on the valve cover, but it hasn't done anything different. We are going to install head drains to drain oil from the head back to the pan. Each head holds about a quart each. So we think this could be adding to our oil problem.

Re: Turbo Builds
We run drain backs from the heads (Kasse Hemi Style) to the oil pan with dry sump and opted not to run a vacuum pump.
