Well I took the street beast to the track and it did great. A huge thanks to Lem for setting me up. A few people had serious doughts about my solid flat tappet deal, so here is what it did. First pass ever.....

60' 1.5510
330' 4.3509
594' 6.3011
1/8 6.7439
MPH 101.62

I had installed my wide band and the carbs are still off, running rich. I left about 2500 rpm and was shifting some where around 5500 to 5800. My shift light craped on me. I only have 10 degrees initial with total timing at 31 degrees. I know once perfected on carbs and tune up it will be a lot better. I am running 110 VP fuel. Is it me or is this thing on it's way to some 6.40's, 6.50's. The cam should have shift points aound 6200 to 6500 according what comp cams said after Lem had it grounded. Anyway Lem this thing pulls and pulls. The caculator said with the 6.74 I should have had a 1.49 60' and 100 mph. So I guess it's time to get to work. I still have the trans brake in my C6 so that will a lot of fun.

I know the other stuff works as well but the cam is what makes me happy. Well like my buddy who brought up his 94 lighting. He just spent money on a new short block, a new cam, new headders to put his trick flow high port heads on. Well after all his crap talk and wanting to run me he is a little upset the best he ran against me was a 9.19 to my 6.74. It's a 408 setup and whoever told him he should have close to 500 Hp.

I know there is some to be had in the carbs especially if I get some mechanical secondary carbs and when Uncle Charlie works his magic on my heads.
