whats with new tack and 2 step not being equal on brake?
I tried differant chips and tac show higher rpms, sometime 500 sometime 1000 past chip. Its a memory tac from Auto meter and wasnt cheap. Has good grounds . Is it normal to bounce past some? Boy it was loud with a 4200 chip and tac around 5000 on transbrake.

Most likely Bad chip,it's not unusual. I always liked the dialachip for the low side. You can set it where ever you want it.

Ed let me know what you find I have a autometer with recall and memory in it.It does the same thing I have tried to change the setting with no luck.I could tell my tach was off before I put the msd in mine.I put a 3000 chip and my tach would go to 5000 one time then again it might go to 4000 never would stop at 3000 with the chip. When idling mine down if i went anything under 1100 the engine would shout off an I tell you the engine is not idling at 1100.As soon as I get everything hooked back up I am going to take the old Mallery tach out of the 69 and try it and see what it reads.
