U.S Nationals.
I just read where Bob Glidden may be driving a Cunningham car @ Indianapolis! Can I get a witness, or at least a confirmation?

Re: U.S Nationals.
I saw it on Competition Plus. I'd say that's a fairly reputable site.
He is going to do a few test hits for Cunningham and if it all felt OK and thought he could compete then he'd drive in the US Nats. I would like to see him back that's for sure...

Hey Dave ... wanna make a wager on who will be number 1 qualifier in Super Stock...?
I'm bettin' on a Mopar 360 Magnum powered car in GT.

Well first of all let me ask you a few questions!
1. Are the Skillman and Haas "new model" Mustangs competing in SS/BA and SS/DA respectively, using the larger displacement supercharged engine?
2. For a person from Michigan who chooses a Mopar, have you overlooked several very hard running Fords from your area?
3. Do you know Mr.Nowicki ?
I think there will be some very hard running Ford's at Indianapolis this week. From our beloved early model Fairlanes to some well though out hi-tech Mustangs. As to your challenge, a wager, I do accept! Your bet is on a specific Mopar entry. I can't be as specific, so I will choose a Ford entry and allow your bet to be covered if any Mopar claims the top S/S qualifying spot. If this is satisfactory, the next time in Owensboro or where we meet, the winner's meal is paid in full.
I do see that Colin has entered. An eye opener was a few 2010 Mustangs entered in SS/AA!
Happy motoring,
Dave.

Tell Leslie to keep the camera lens clean and bring home many pictures of John Calvert's 1964 Fairlane "Thunderbolt" stocker! Also if you see Colin, pass on a hello for me.
Wish you a safe and enjoyable trip,
Dave.

Re: U.S Nationals.
Randy, did you see who was top S/S qualifier today? Also notice number 40! The best I read, 5 Fords in the top 12 S/S qualifying positions! I know it's very early, but I like the look!

Me too ... the mid-day qualifiers are not going to go fast though; just get in the program to do their damage.
Re: U.S Nationals.
The "jiggling" has begun! Paul Adam's '64 Thunderbolt has fell to the number 2 qualifying spot after the third round. Todd Patterson, driving one of Hajek's 2010 Mustangs has moved into the number 1 position. Jeff Colvert is hanging in the top 10. Haas in another Mustang of the day, is at number 12. Skillman and Colin have moved up considerably to the 26th and 36th spots respectively.
Also, I must admit, that fast SS/GT Mopar has made a tremendous improvement, to number 7!
Colin's performance seems to be good for the class, after three rounds of qualifying only a couple of hundredths or so slow.
The Ford's continue to look pretty impressive, although a few of the "Brand X's" have certainly improved.

Here's a couple of hard running "old school" Fords! I know it's not our beloved Ford 385 Series, although the original BBF to most we "older guys"! So tolerate my passion if only for a few minutes!
Thank you,
Dave.

I love the Stockers. Been wanting to run a Stocker- (any Stocker) for 30 years. My favorite class.

"Right Lane: Bob Glidden Runs 6.782/204.94, Now #1 5:50 p.m.
Lots of things are special about Indy, just one of them being that we have 5 Pro Stock sessions instead of 4. But this one is in a class all by itself just due to the car that's just pulled into the water. Bob Glidden is in Indy, he's racing, and he's in a Ford. I'll wait a moment until the cheering stops.
This is Bob's 324th race and his 26th U.S. Nationals. He hasn't been in NHRA competition since the Pomona Finals in 2003.
OK, so it wasn't a thing of beauty but I'm not sure anybody but BG could have pulled it off anyhow. The car jumped off to the right and was moving hard to the wall. Bob yanked it back right in the middle of some nasty shake. He managed to get the car settled down and runs his career best ET.
Like I say every year, wish you were here."
Copied from the NHRA results page. Just couldnt resist seeing as he is number one qualifier..... First run of the first session
Well at least until the next pair ran.
Good to see the old guy still getting it done. He won't qualify but hey they just dont have the horsepower yet.

I seen that pass yesterday and thought for sure he would lift or hit the wall.
When he stayed in the throttle all I could say was wow.
