15 years ago today

My wife and I tied the knot. Can't say it's always been happy, but we've done our best to be understanding. I am hoping that there are many more to come.

Very true. If you quit talking, they quit listening. All I can say about marriage is that if you aren't a member of a church and attend on a regular basis, that without the Good Lord on your side, you don't stand a chance.

Schmitty,In most cases I would say that what you say is true.But,in my case it's not.When Sooz and me got married back in 98 we had lived together for a year and she started right in taking care of my invalid father. I knew right away she was the one for me after a year of no arguing and problems. We NEVER,and I mean NEVER argue about ANYTHING and she don't bitch about anything(including race car) and she gives me no reason to bitch at her. She did get saved back in 2000 and I go to church w/her once in a while.(Not nearly enough). But,I know that very few couples have the relationship as us,and I think alot of it comes from respect for each other and us spending alot of time together and being Best Friends. Congrats to you both,and keep it going

You have a good wife and friend there Rick. Sooz is one of a kind for sure and it's too bad there isn't that kind of understanding in more couples. If there was the divorce lawyers would be out of business. My family has had divorces in the past, but they all have found true life parters now. I've got one aunt that is on her 5th marriage and he's a definate winner finally.

I got married in 1991 and I can't believe how many years have gone by all ready. You know what they say "time fly's when you are having BIG TIME fun" My wife and kids are my best friends!!

congrats. I still got a couple months before i hit my first anniversary. You're somewhat of a lifer compared to me.
My wife and I had different backgrounds. I grew up going to what i'd call a Christian-light church (united) (only one in town btw) and my wife is french catholic. (that is quite the experience going to a french catholic service)
But i forgave her for her misfortunes and now we're happily married

Rob I feel sorry for your Wife for putting up with your sorry Butt for that many years congrats man, you need to go out a buy her a simpathy card....

Congrats on the 15 years not many now days can say that and and I agree with out the good Lord in a marriage it usally don't last.Beth and me will be have our 24th Dec 7 I got married at 20 years old we lived together a year before I would say I do.Yes they have been times that I wanted to give it up but we work through all the early marriage problems. I learned sometime you have to give alittle but not to much or they think they run the house hold.But all in all I wouldn't take any thing for the last 25 years.
