Oh man, from the very first damn guitar note it always puts a fuk'n shiver running up the
back of my neck......happens every time when listening to SRV.
It's too bad they remastered the Austin city Limits stuff PBS plays at pledge time. They have
kinda screwed it up adding in the same "extra" crowd noise repeating over & over in the
background (wouldn't surprise me if it was brother Jimmy's idea).

Re: A thread for everyone.................
In my opinion Riviera Paradise is probably the best example of scope of SRV's total talent range. It has damn near everything, it's epic live or recorded. Hard to beat a slow jazy/bluesy start that progresses to peaks & valleys that change speeds & intensities. And then the grouping of 6 or 7 forceful whammy bar/headstock string pulls that repeat the crying "WHAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa's" is just amazing stuff.
You could add "Davis traction control, swing arm, electric shocks, Accusump, 3 spd vs 2 spd, percentage of rise vs anti-squat, & out of focus scale readout pics" to the list.
